You have not made any changes, so is this the first time you tried to start this version of Firefox? Can you please try reinstalling it? From the error message (which I can not read, not being in my native language), it seems like a file is missing from the chrome, maybe it was accidentally deleted or corrupted.
no, i have FF 3.0.1 installed for some time already, and have used it on a daily basis. no changes had been done to it until it stopped starting. i also tried re-installing it, but no help there. i de-activated all extensions and plugins, then the first error message diasppeared.

in safe mode FF starts.

any help?
If Firefox starts in Safe Mode, it sounds like an extension error (supported by your first screenshot). Can you uninstall all the extensions, re-install Firefox, then try?
i have uninstalled all extensions, except of google earth and google gears which don't let me to uninstall???

the error keeps appearing.

i have also created a new profile, which then enables me to start FF in regular mode.
If you're down to just those 2 Google extensions then one of them is the cause. You can't uninstall? Can you try disabling one?
Version: unspecified → 3.0 Branch
can you start reinstalling your extensions in a new profile, one at a time, then restart the browser and do a normal surfing session before installing the next one. I suggest starting with google gears...
re to: Jose 2008-08-05 15:53:12 PDT

I de-installed also google earth and google gears and no change.

I created a new profile, and that one starts perfectly in normal mode too.

On the german firefox forum, somebody suggested it has to do with language settings changes, or with installing FF 2.0 in german, and on top of that FF 3.0 in english.

In any case, I would just like to transport now my relevant profile information to the new profile, and continue working.
That would be:
Passwords, History, Bookmarks etc.

Any help on that?

Thanks
Jose, please don't delete your old profile. It would be still interesting to see which file causes this issue. You should make a backup before starting with the following test: Try to delete several files from the affected profile until Firefox starts without your mentioned errors. Hopefully you can track it down to a single file. If you are able to you can attach it to this bug but make sure that all privacy information is removed before.
