per irc comments:
Stat&us does include none (not read) as the main sort distinction, so I told 
brendan that it isn't really needed, he seemed to agree; putterman disagrees 
(U&nread is 4xp).

What the access key is doesn't really matter to me.  I just want the menuitem to 
stay in. It doesn't make sense to me to allow you to click on the column header 
but not to have a corresponding menu item when every other column header has a 
menu item.

I never said anything about removing a menu item, I was just whining at timeless 
about why U isn't the accelerator for Unread.

my mistake. Timeless had talked to me about removing the menuitem and when he 
wrote "so I told brendan that it isn't really needed, he seemed to agree" that's 
what I thought he was referring to.

Marking Invalid.

It is a dupe of bug# 76247 which is basically a summary bug (it covers Stand 
Alone: all menu items, mnemonic and accelerator issues in the same bug). The 
reason for marking it Invalid is because I don't want to create more noise in 
the summary bug. Please go to bug# 76247 for a recent status.
