bug 448639 comment 8
I would like to suggest a new change for the next round:

-Other:Mozilla Localizations:pt-BR / Brazilian
+Other:Mozilla Localizations:pt-BR / Portuguese (Brazil)

This will make it more like all the other language components.

bug 448639 comment 9
I questioned that one as we were doing it, Gerv said that's how the l10n people
wanted it. But I agree with you. And in the same vein, pt-PT should be
"Portuguese (Portugal)"

bug 448639 comment 10
Well, es-ES is just "Spanish", not "Spanish (Spain)". Also, pa-IN is just
"Punjabi", not "Punjabi (India). And the same goes for many other languages.

bug 448639 comment 11
No. es-ES is "Spanish (Spain)", as there are a number of other Spanish variant,
most prominently, "Spanish (Argentina)". We are _only_ using region codes in
the current L10n process if they really make sense and should explicitly named.
But I think doing correct renames for locales should be a separate followup
bug.

i can do this once someone draws up and approves a new map....

These are three separate discussions about different issues that should happen in separate bugs. Spain is not Portuguese is not India.

Resolving this INVALID instead of boring the localizers with noise that just isn't theirs.
