If anything* goes wrong right now (GET param is out of whack, permissions, language file exists on disk but not in pootle(!)) it's treated as a fatal error and the user is shown a white screen with an unfriendly error on it.

These should be handled gracefully. I can give more specific examples but right now there are so many I'll just leave it like this. Basically we need an exception handler.

*generalization!

Example 1: Bug 453217 - having an accent in your username completely removes your ability to do anything on the site (white screen)

Example 2: With a default import of AMO, we see "IndexError: multiple regions defined for language pt, project amodemo" because we support pt_BR and pt_PT. Now, that's it's own bug but we shouldn't give a whitescreen with that unfriendly error if we come across it.
Closing out Pootle bugs from Verbatim component:

We're running Pootle trunk, and it's not a feature to be implemented on our end, but this might already be fixed.
