The current set up unpacks the results of the package target. This includes test programs and xpidl which are unneeded and introduce extra dependencies.
I have no clue what this bug is about. It was filed 9 years ago, so I'm guessing it is no longer important.

XUL based Fennec had builds that ran on desktop such as http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/mobile/releases/10.0.1/linux/en-US/ the Java UI Android Fennec 14 invalidated this bug.
