From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; m16) Gecko/20000613 BuildID: 2000061311 My cable modem is a GI SurfBoard 2100D hybrid (half duplex) modem. It has a built-in phone modem for return. My manual dialing page for it is 192.168.100.1/phone.html. From there, I can choose Dial Modem or Hang-up Modem, among other links. All links are good, except these two. The program acts as if it is working, but never dials or hangs up. Finally "phonedata.html could not be found. Please check name and try again." appears. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Hook up modem 2. Go to this page: 192.168.100.1/phone.html 3. Press either link Actual Results: "phonedata.html could not be found. Please check name and try again." appears. Expected Results: Modem should dial or hang-up, depending on link chosen.
Are you still seeing this in current builds? I am unable to connect to that URL at all.
192.168.*.* are a set of 256 Class C subnets reserved for use off the internet - i.e., behind a forwarding proxy server or modem. You can only access this page if you're behind the modem -- we can't. So could you please attach the HTML to this bug so we can figure out what the problem is?

I *HIGHLY* doubt that this is a mozilla problem. If we don't here back from the reporter (which I, as always, hope that we do) will mark invalid.

Copied from email from originator: This document contains frames, which cannot be edited. The original document is attached. My job requires me to be out of town a lot. I can't help that. If I had known that patience would be so non-existent, I wouldn't have bothered to report it. I am using Mozilla on a 2 laptops and my desktop, and this problem occurs on all three. Please find HTML attached.
Attached file testcase from reporter
Rufus, while I appreciate your zeal, I unfortunately don't share your optimism that mozilla is not the problem. This product has had too many glitches to write off a bug this serious which others haven't yet had the opportunity to test. If it's not mozilla, great, no harm done, we do a few extra backflips, but I'd rather be sure especially since we now have the testcase available as an attachment. Re-opening.

Ack....sorry about that... anyway, this testcase is only the frame page and has no information on it. Could the reporter please attatch the frame contents. You should be able to either right click on the frames and "Save frame as..." or load the pages http://192.168.100.1/phonedata.html and http://192.168.100.1/side.html and save those (along with any that are linked from those). and again, sorry about that.
No worries Rufus...good call on those extra pages! Jody, could you please forward the additional pages to me directly ( mailto:ckritzer@netscape.com ) or attach them to this bug report? Thanks!
jisaacs@compasonline.net - I'm afraid we need those pages that were requested to get any further with this bug. Could you attach them to it, please? :-) Gerv
I will be closing this bug by Thursday, September 7 if the pages needed (and requested over a month ago) are not attached to this bug report. jisaacs@compasonline.net (Jody Isaacs), could you please attach the requested pages? Thanks.
