Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1 Build Identifier: Firefox/3.0.1 Look. This is the 3rd major release, and the restoration of last tabs is still functioning the same. Let me clarify. Restoring tabs from last session works perfectly, but ONLY IF CLEAR BROWSING HISTORY IS UNCHECKED in Tools -> Options -> Private Data -> Always Clear My Private Data When I Close Firefox -> Settings -> Browser History. If you place a check in clearing Browser History while requesting restoration of last session tabs from the general menu, conflict occurs, and clearing private data browser history wins. Restoring last session tabs conflicts with clearing browser history, and my point is, IT SHOULDN'T. Please, please, separate these two algorithms from affecting each other, namely by storing last session tabs in DIFFERENT PLACE. Many of us want to keep tight security by clearing private data, but when we specify "show my windows and tabs from the last time", we want FF to clear private data, including browser history, BUT NOT OUR LAST TABS, if we have chosen those two options simultaneously. That's how the two options should harmonize. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.select Options -> Main -> "show my windows and tabs from last time". 2.select Options -> Privacy -> clear private data -> browser history checkbox. 3.open any 2 or more tabs. 4.close FF. 5.start FF. 6.a blank screen appears on startup. Actual Results: a blank screen on startup. Expected Results: when these 2 options are selected, browser history should be cleared while restoring last session tabs, instead of one overriding the other.
