450375 - Downloads from Asus support page started after a long time

Steps to reproduce:

1) Go to the reported URL
2) open Others download section (for example)
3) click on "Download from Global" or "China" for the first item
   (or what you prefer)
4) do steps 1-3 also with IE7

Actual result:

Downloads are started after a long time. With IE7 downloads are started very soon. I noticed that it doesn't happen if you paste in FIrefox the direct link, for example:
http://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/utils/4in1_449.zip
and since the page is full of Javascript code, I think this is related to JS.

Is this a Fx problem or a Tech evangelism bug? See also Bug 304331.

Does the browser say "Waiting for ..." or "Transferring data from ..."? Just wondering because the "perf" keyword more stands for rendering and general browser speed and responsiveness what does not really apply to this bug here.
