even after downloading and installation of dictionary it does not show under the window of spelling under options. Also it does not do any spell checks when writing the text for a new email, when both the boxes in the above window are checked. i have tried to install the thunder bird 5 times, but no change.

1.dictionary downloaded
2.installed as per procedure
3.does not show in the options under spelling window
4.does not check spellings when both the boxes are checked.
Actual Results:  
does not check the spellings

Expected Results:  
well it should show the dictionary installed and then check the spellings automatically.

FWIW, you need to install the dictionary *in thunderbird*, not in firefox. (That is, download it, go to the thunderbird add-ons and install it there.)
