The log-in form at the URL features User Number and Password fields. The Password field includes an autocomplete="off" attribute. With the wallet.crypto.autocompleteoverride pref set to true, Firefox fails to offer to save the password for this site. (If the URL doesn't work, access https://www.sparkasse.at/, click netbanking Login, then click the British flag for the English-language version of the page.)

The preference you describe is a Seamonkey preference, not a Firefox one, and implementing it in Firefox has been discussed in bug 245333. You may be interested in the "remember password" bookmarklet, here: http://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/forms.html#remember_password

Or, if you prefer an extension, you can use my "Activate Autocomplete" Extension (based on bug 245333 comment #24 by Michael Newton). You can download it from http://www.smart-roadster-club.de/off-topic/mozilla/extensions/activate-autocomplete/
