User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070206 Firefox/3.0.1 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.16 (20080707) Sending an e-mail message to an address-book list in the To, CC, or most importantly the BCC field usually fails. A small list I have works fine. The small list has a 2-word name ("NWW board"). The failing lists have 1-word names ("VWV"). After changing their names to 2 words ("VWV list"), sending e-mail to the list works. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Compose e-mail. 2. Enter list name in BCC field. 3. Send. Actual Results: Fails. Unless list name is more than 1 word. Expected Results: Sends.

I was unable to reproduce with Linux 2.0.0.20pre (20090103). You said that it failed... how did it fail?
Whiteboard: closeme 2009-04-09
The message was not sent. As I recall, it said that the list name was not a valid e-mail address. However, I just tried recreating the problem by creating a new one-word list name (BBB) and it worked fine. I'm now on 2.0.0.21, so perhaps a later version of Thunderbird took care of it inadvertently.
An error like the one in bug 451118?
