I keep unchecking the "always clear private data when exiting firefox" but it does not work. The next time I open firefox all the private data is gone (very frustrating since I love to use the awesome address bar). and when I go tp the options I find that the option is checked again even though I keep unchecking it...
I did install Norton 360 around the same time as I did firefox so the problem could be attributed to that... but I wouldn't know...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Actual Results:
provate data are gone and I have to retype the names of websites, forms, passwords, and everything else...

Expected Results:
All the stuff I type in should be auto filled...

This works fine for me. You could look into your profile if there is a file user.js
If so, open it with a text editor and add the following line at the bottom:

user_pref("privacy.sanitize.sanitizeOnShutdown", false);

or make a new file with this name and this line.
