can we move on this? Vanessa is a Mozilla Europe intern, everything she does during her internship is in the name of Mozilla Europe, her committers agreement is signed and she will soon have to work on Firefox 3.0.2/2.0.0.17 release.

The committer's agreement is in my drawer, we have no fax and no scanner in the office so you will get it once we have some post mail to send to Montain View over the atlantic.

No, not at all. I'm saying that our legal obligations require us to have a form on file for committers, including MoCo-employed folk. This isn't a new policy, and we have always required the form before granting access. It's just that recently we started requiring forms from all web localizers, too.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we have to be fair to all people about requiring forms to be on file before granting access. Are there really no scanners or fax machines that you could use?

I know that Mandriva has a fax in the building, I'll ask them if I can use it. In the meantime, you can grant Vanessa access to mozilla-europe data repository, we are a different legal entity.

Reed: I think you are overstating it slightly. As you say, for legal reasons, all committers must sign the form. If a new committer is living in Upper Middle-of-Nowhere, we let them fax us a copy so we can have some assurance they've signed it while the paper copy is in the post. However, there are other methods of providing this temporary assurance - such as giving the form to a trusted member of the project.

Reed: please enable Vanessa's accounts on all requested systems.

Pascal: please send the form to the office immediately by air mail, without waiting for other post. It should cost less than a euro.
