Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 PooBrowser/6.0 PenguinOS Build Identifier: 2.0.0.16 (20080724) Today I just found my ~/.mozilla-thunderbird/ directory having an unusual size of 248 MB although I'm using IMAP and I just have about 50 mails stored on that account. A further analysis with find brought out that the Inbox file of my old pop3 account which I deleted several months ago is still there: .mozilla-thunderbird/2yenn68r.default/Mail/pop3.web.de/Inbox I opened the file and saw that there are very old mails which I must have deleted years before I used this pop3 account the last time. The same thing with my newsfeeds: Every rss article I downloaded, can still be found in .mozilla-thunderbird/2yenn68r.default/Mail/News & Blogs/tagesschau although I deleted it in the GUI. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use pop3 and/or get some rss feeds 2. store some data and delete some 3. have a look at your ~/.mozilla-thunderbird/<profile>/Mail directory and its contents Expected Results: The software should have deleted all the mails and articles from my hard disk when I deleted them in the GUI (I used the "del" button on my keyboard if this is useful for you...) I started using thunderbird with version 1.0 and I've never changed anything in the ~/.mozilla-thunderbird directory. So my problem could be a result of version incompatibilities (except the issue with newsfeeds which I use since thunderbird 2.0)
