Sometime after hibernating my workstation or just restart firefox the addressbar incl. searchbar and all icons between them just disappear. I must reconfigure the navigation bar.

It happens only sometimes, but mostly after hibernating the workstation.

I have this problem under windows xp and vista too. Not tested under linux or mac.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Difficult, it happens only sometimes, but mostly after hibernating the workstation
Did you also test this in safe-mode?
If ruling out problematic add-ons doesn't help, try a new profile:

It would be best to make a copy of the file localstore.rdf in your profile as a back-up. Then you can replace the file with the back-up if the problem happens again and you don't need to rearrange your toolbars.

I have experienced this error several times before as well. In my case, I hide both the Navigation Toolbar and Bookmarks Toolbar. I also move the Address Box and Search box and the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder to the top row. So I'm only exposing the top row. I hide all the back, forward, stop, etc. icons.

When this occurs, the Address Box, Search Box and Bookmarks Toolbar Folder all disappear. Only the menus remain.

I'm running Ubuntu 8.10, I suppose with a lot of extensions enabled (14).

Oh, and I'm running Firefox 3.0.4. I cannot remember if this issue happened on earlier versions. It certainly never happened to me with Firefox 2.x
