Details
(Whiteboard: [CLOSEME 2010-12-01])
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1
Problem noticed after closing Firefox and reopening, occasionally the Bookmarks toolbar is not visible, also the close (x) icon on tabs is not visible. The space on the toolbar for the Bookmarks toolbar displays as grey space, ie no icons.
It seems to occur when Firefox does not fully close - firefox.exe is still visible in Task Manager > Processes tab.
If I close Firefox, and 'End Process' on firefox.exe in Windows Task Manager/Process tab, then reopen, the Bookmarks toolbar (and tab close icons) is now visible.
This problem has occurred on two different machines - work laptop and home desktop - both Dells. I've tried re-installing latest version from Mozilla but problem still occurs.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Close Firefox (?)
2.
3.
Actual Results:
firefox.exe still visible in Process tab in Task Manager and Bookmarks Toolbar not visible.
Apart from having the SwitchProxy Tool 1.4.1 add-on installed everything else is as per the standard install.
same in 3.0.2 ... 3.0.5

I had this bug also. I think it is connected with AVG Free version 9.0 Maybe installing an update in AVG will fix it ?

I think it is solved by me. The bug was caused by an add-on.
