(Followup to our IRC discussion earlier today.) Reminder: This could (+/-) be a pain for people to setup at "home", and this "feature" is not available on Windows (with VC++ compiler). Anyway, a public server solution would always be good to have... You said you have a tinderbox with this setup on <http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showbuilds.cgi?tree=MozillaTest> to "revive". (First, make this happen. Then:) *** You also implied that this box build only one application (XulR / FF probably !?). My suggestion was for all apps to benefit from this (other kind of) tool. I could see two solutions to this: *setup this feature on new boxes or on top of existing ones. NB: For SeaMonkey, I would suggest to try "Linux nye bloat", as a first idea. *setup your box to compile all the apps (FF/TB/SM/...) one after the other. What do you think about these ?
PS: I understood that your box would be RED anyway because your tool reports Errors. In case, this feature would be added to existing boxes, it would need to report warnings only ... at least until a time when all is fixed.
This bug is too vague to be actionable. Please don't file this kind of bug about "let random people configure random features on build machines".
