User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1a2pre) Gecko/20080824031931 Minefield/3.1a2pre Build Identifier: "Current Release Firefox 2 (October 24, 2006)" Oh dear. With the spread of info to other sites, original pages get woefully out-of-date. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Search mozilla.org for "Firefox project", or Google for "site:mozilla.org Firefox" get this page as first result. Actual Results: Out-of-date, no mention of FF 3.0 or FF 3.1, no inspiration. Expected Results: Instead of laboring to keep pages like this up-to-date, maybe it's better to kill them. If you keep it, get rid of every phrase or link that can drift out of date. Just "Mozilla's flagship next-generation browser. Get the latest released version at getfirefox.com, read latest news at planet.firefoxfeed.mozillawhatever"

(I didn't follow) > Expected Results: > Instead of laboring to keep pages like this up-to-date, maybe it's better to > kill them. If you keep it, get rid of every phrase or link that can drift out > of date. You never get to this page if you don't know about Firefox. If you start at mozilla.org or mozilla.com you get to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ How did you get to http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/ ?
(In reply to comment #1) > How did you get to http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/ ? Re-read my STR. > You never get to this page if you don't know about Firefox If most never get to the page, that's another reason to kill it.
I just updated the current release information to Firefox 3. For the larger discussion of what to do with the Firefox project content on www.mozilla.org, there's already a bug open for that at 350989.
