User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1) Build Identifier: 3.0.1 When I right-clock on a link and try to Open In New Window, nothing happens, no new window opens. This problem started after the latest update (it was not present in the previous version). Open In New Tab appears to work fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Go to a website with links (e.g. Yahoo.com) 3. Right click on any link and select Open In New Window Actual Results: No new window appears Expected Results: A new Firefox window should appear displaying the linked page Using default everything (theme and whatever). I will try to revert to previous version or else use IE until this bug is fixed.
Do you get the same problem in the Firefox safemode ? - http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/safe+mode
No, the problem did not appear in safe mode. Oddly enough, I uninstalled Firefox (but did not remove the personalized settings) and reinstalled it, and the problem was still there. After seeing that all was right in safe mode, I went back into safe mode, this time resetting everything but my bookmarks ... and now there is no more problem! Apparently some custom setting of mine was causing the problem, because resetting to default removed the problem. What isn't clear is what that setting was, and why it was a problem on just this one computer of mine (I have other systems running Win XP SP3 without a problem). Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

fixed is only used if there is a patch, marking invalid The safemode is just Firefox without addons and if it works there then one of your installed addons is causing that.
