started page in bug #428145

Sorry about that, little misunderstanding on my part about this bug.

I don't think there needs to be many link changes, the defaults are good, since most Icelandairs use most sites in english.

The only things I think that maybe could be changed are:

wikipedia could be changed to http://is.wikipedia.org
qype could be changed to http://www.qype.co.uk/is/places
gumtree could be changed to http://hugi.is (Icelandic forum site)

How should I make these changes? Can I change them direct in CVS or should I attach the changed page to bug #428145?

the pages are in SVN but the easiest way to update this page is just to attach the new version to this bug and I will publish it. You should talk with Stas about the different options you are proposing, he is CCed on this bug.

So Stas, should I make the changes to the wikipedia and qype entry? What about the gumtree link? It really isn't relevant to Iceland in any way, should I leave it as is, remove it or change it to some Icelandic site?

Sorry for taking this long to comment here. To answer your questions:
* changing wikipedia and qype to local Icelandic versions is definitely fine, unless you can think of some better sites to replace them. Feel free to share your ideas :)
* I see your point about gumtree. Are there any other websites with classified ads (like graigslist) that you'd recommend? You suggested hugi.is - can you explain what kind of forum this is? Does it have focus on any particular topic? 

If you can think of any other suggestions, don't hesitate to comment about them. They don't have to be exact equivalents of en-US defaults, so if you feel that there are websites that could benefit our Icelandic users, help them work, connect and share, that's what we're looking for :) Thanks!

Ok I will change wikipedia and qype to local Icelandic versions.

I don't know of any good free Icelandic website with classified ads.

hugi.is is basically a general forum site with all possible topics.

There is also selt.is which is an auction site like ebay.

I think hugi.is is a good choice. We want people to connect and share, and a forum like this seems to fit very well here. Thanks for explanation.

So let's go with the changes you suggested in comment 2:

wikipedia -> to http://is.wikipedia.org
qype -> http://www.qype.co.uk/is/places
gumtree -> http://hugi.is 

Do you have any other ideas for changes? Are Topix and HypeMachine known and popular in Iceland?

Ok here is the new central page with the link changes. I don't know how best is to handle image changes. I just linked to an image on the hugi.is site. Don't know if that is not acceptable.

I don't know if Topix and HypeMachine are used much here in Iceland but I think they are ok to be in the list.

Kristján, I changed the file for you to include the png logo attached above. I also fixed an error with two double quotes closing the href attribute of qype's link.

Something is wrong I took a look at the page:

The changes are there for the link changes but the image "sites-hugi.png" doesn't display.
