There are two files here, README and src/movemail.c.

The last real change to the former was June 17, 1999 (a collection of emails detailing what could be done) and to the latter at the same time, the initial, unbuilt import. Its continued existence implies that the code within does something, which is not the case (unless you want to see what code looked like way back in yesteryear).

Clarifying comment, as movemail really lives in mailnews/local/src/nsMovemail*.

No, footprint is only for things that reduce the build size, this doesn't. Not that it matters much anyway.
