Some months ago i have disabled Lightning.
Some days ago i received an event and i re-enabled Lightning, in order to accept the invitation. But message is shown the same way it was when Lightning was disabled: just alternate text.

Searching some time in bugzilla make me think possibly Lightning has unregistered text/calendar MIME type when disabled, but it was not re-registered when enabled.

Reproducible: Didn't try

I also have Google Calendar provider v0.4 installed.
It have been automatically disabled and enabled, pairing Lightning status.
Did you check "show attachments inline" under the view-menu? The message should show the same but there should be a bar on top saying "this message contains an invite to an event" when previewing the message. Afaik there's no registering or unregistering of mime-types.
Yes, it is checked. I also tried to uncheck and recheck it, but i did not see changes in the invitation (i did in other e-mails like one with a vCard; checked => at end of mail, uncheked => as any other attachment).
Sergio, it is not clear to me which version of Lightning has been used in comment#0. Does this still happen using Lightning 0.9 or even a pre-release version of Lightning 1.0 (for Thunderbird 3.0)?
