Tested with 3.0.5 on Vista, hangs again. Behavior could be content-dependent, since it's a forum, that changes every day.

Not seeing hang. Have you tried in a new firefox profile? http://support.mozilla.com/kb/profile
Keywords: hang
Version: unspecified → 3.0 Branch

Yes, I've attempted to do the test using clean profile (to rule out extensions, etc).
It also seems that the behavior depends on the page content, however, since it's a message board - content changes on a daily basis.
Next time I come across this I'll try to run a source build in a debugger, or at least attempt to save page content into a file and post it here.

Ok, this time I took a screen cap.

Do you have a installed Roboform plugin >= v.6.9.96 or 7.* beta ???
I know bug of Roboform when Firefox 3.*.* hangs up (cpu 100%) because Roboform
installed (a turning off of Roboform doesn't help - a roboform should be uninstalled :-/). Tested more more times and same results -> bug in Roboform plugin. Support of Roboform know about this problem from me a long time (from summer 2010) but they do nothing for resolving...

@Alexey it crashed in empty profile, no plugins, no extensions.
Web-site that caused it (xpoint.ru) is being redone, so it might not be possible to get that bug again... They use XHTML with XML mime type, that's the only possible clue that I have. I assume you speak Russian, so you can register with that forum and try reproducing the bug yourself.
