User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 Firefox/3.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 Firefox/3.0.1 Clicking "T" after right clicking a bookmark deletes it (really it cuts it), even though this is not an option in the right click context menu. Right clicking should open it in a new tab, or, at worst, not do anything at all. Right clicking a link in the browser itself allows you to follow the URL with the T key. The behavior should be consistent!! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the Bookmarks menu 2. Right click an item 3. Hit the "T" key Actual Results: Bookmark cut. Expected Results: Opened in new tab OR nothing happens, as the "T" shortcut does NOT appear in the right click context menu. Behavior should be consistent with right clicking a URL in the browser itself ("T" opens a new tab there).
adding uiwanted to have UX ideas about this

Summary: Right clicking a bookmark and hitting "T" deletes the bookmark → Use T for "open in new Tab" in bookmarks' context menu instead of using it for Cut to be consistent with links
Just wanted to add that I have inadvertently removed my bookmarks on dozens of seperate occasions due to this problem. I am used to using right-click + t to open links in a new tab (I do this because my middle mouse button is extremely stiff, thanks, Logitec MX1000 generation 1). It annoys me because I use this right-click + t behavior on links all the time, and when I suddenly use it on bookmarks, it (effectively) deletes them. Most annoying!
