This page was removed when the catalog directory was archived.  Ben, if this page is still used let's move it over to MDC.  I can help move it and set up a redirect if you'd like.

I'd be willing to migrate it. So, what's the plan, copy the content into MDC, maintain it there, and put a link in the www-archive site?

If you copy the content over to MDC and send me the link, I can set up a redirect on the www.mozilla.org site so that any old references to that briefprefs.html page get pointed to the right place.

I just copied the contents of the archived briefprefs page to a new page on MDC and set up a redirect.  The new page is at:

http://developer.mozilla.org/En/A_Brief_Guide_to_Mozilla_Preferences

I'm closing this bug as fixed since this takes care of the 404 error.  I imagine the doc itself could use some attention, but let's take care of that in another bug.
