In any case, I don't see a way to set a reminder for unscheduled task items, so this is an enhancement request for that. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
It should be possible to set such an alarm because RFC 5545 states: 'The "TRIGGER" property value type can alternatively be set to an absolute calendar date with UTC time.'
