Opening bug to track migrating documentation from www.mozilla.org. Eric, let me know if this content should be moved to MDC or if this is no longer relevant and should be archived.
Yes, this should be migrated to MDC.

There are no peers or owners listed for the profile manager module. cc'ing Kairo for guidance on who to talk to about this content.

This looks like stuff about the old xpfe profile manager that is dead, the "How To Create an ISP rdf file" could still be valid and maybe should go to MDC, CCing dmose for this as that's a mailnews thing.

The rest of this looks quite outdated though, so I'd go for killing it on the www.m.o site and only keep it on archive.

Based on comment #3 I'm assuming the profilemanager files are obsolete and I'm going to go ahead and archive them. If any of these files are still needed, please feel free to reopen and I'll help move them back to an appropriate place.

As far as I know, the ISP RDF stuff is likely to still be valid for folks who are using Thunderbird 2. Adding folks to the CC who have been in and around the configuration code recently for input. However, the URL field in this bug is now 404. Can someone update it to point to the archive page so that the folks I've added can provide that input?

I believe the RDF file is still relevant and should be brought back to life (or, really, probably migrated to devmo). Re-opening.

Actually, the TB3 autoconfig branch removes the RDF file support.

Ah, you want to keep the docs for TB2.

I took a look on MDC and saw the following pages related to ISPs and RDF.

http://developer.mozilla.org/En/Isp_Data
http://developer.mozilla.org/en/Thunderbird_ISP_hooks

If either of these are more current versions of that file, I could just set up a redirect on mozilla.org. If these aren't the same thing, I can move the archived isp-rdf-info.txt file over to MDC.
Those pages look to be more current anyway; a redirect sounds like the way to go.
Thanks!

I set up a redirect to point to the ISP Data page on MDC. If there's any need to pull any other information over from the archived isp-rdf-info.txt file, it's available at

http://www-archive.mozilla.org/profilemanager/isp-rdf-info.txt

Closing as fixed.
