computer shuts down and restarts when pressing the get mail button

Most of the time the "get mail" button works fine but when thunderbird has been open for awhile and I push the get mail button computer will shut off and restart. There will be a your computer has recovered from a serious error box and the send to microsoft to check for errors box.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open thunderbird
2. leave open for about 30 minutes.
3. click get mail button
Actual Results:  
 restarts and gets error box

Expected Results:  
 same as above
This sounds like you have hardware trouble. Try memtest (http://www.memtest.org/), check possible heat problems and so on.
