Hence I uncheck the "Don't Ask at Startup" box. Firefox starts ok. So far so good. Then I close Firefox. Now I click a link from an email. Firefox does not open. I the try to open it from the desktop shortcut. See the hour glass for a sec. then nothing. I then try to open it from the Run box with -P no dice. I have to reboot to get it to open again. It works fine if I have the "Don't Ask at Startup" box checked. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start with -P uncheck "Don't Ask at Startup" box. After open then Close 2.click a link from an email Actual Results: Firefox will not open Expected Results: Firefox will not open Bug is present on two (2) different PCs. One XP Pro and one XP Home....
Reporter, please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later in a fresh profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Also update your plugins (flash, adobe reader, java, quicktime, silverlight, etc.) Go to the developer's website and download the latest version from there. If you no longer see this issue, please close this bug as RESOLVED, WORKSFORME. If you do see the bug, please post a comment.
