User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/0.2.149.29 Safari/525.13
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1
Understood that CSS must be listed in the a:link, a:visited, a:hover order - this is correct. IE shows the 'line-through' properly. Firefox and oddly Google's Chrome do not. In fact - no matter what you do for the a:visited CSS - Firefox and Chrome do not show it. Only IE does.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Write CSS document that has a specific a:visited attribute - in my case text-decoration: line-through;
2. test with IE, Firefox, and Chrome.
3. wierd
Actual Results:
EVERY time - the CSS is ignored for the a:visited.

a:visited {text-decoration: line-through} seems to work normally here.

Have been checking a new web design in Firefox (3.01), Google Chrome (0.2.149.29) and Microsquish Internet Exploder v.7.07530.11. I have an xhtml page, which in the header calls for:
<link href="mystylesheet.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
In the stylesheet, the a:visited in the #mainContent container is described as:
#mainContent a:visited {text-decoration: line-through;}

...sorry I forgot to add that it displays properly in IE, but not in Chrome or Firefox. The a:link, a:hover work fine.

This may help... in Chrome - it displays properly in the 'normal' window but not in the 'incognito' window... It still does not display properly in Firefox.
So...
IE - okay
Chrome normal window - okay
Firefox - improper
Chrome incognito - improper

Duh... PILOT ERROR. It was a simple mistake and I apologize. Turns out the history file was not checked in the browser options. Firefox is fine (we all knew that)!
