User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1 Build Identifier: 0.9pre 09-sep-2008 21:42 PST When an invitation sent by me gets accepted through a Windows Mobile phone, It isn't accepted by Thunderbird. Lightning simply doesn't recognize the attachment, it seems. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Send an event-invitation to someone 2. Let them accept or deny the invite through a Windows Mobile (6.1) phone/pda 3. Watch your inbox. Altough an accept-mail is received, it's useless Actual Results: Nothing happens; the e-mail isn't recognized as an event-invitation-confirmation. Expected Results: I would expect thunderbird / lightning to update the event in the calendar. Is this the complete message? Doesn't seem to be a valid iTIP/iMIP message because I don't see a iCalendar attachment. Maybe Windows Mobile just doesn't support sending out iTIP/iMIP messages?
This is indeed the complete message. If it ain't a valid iTIP/iMIP message, then that's weird, because you should expect these things to work from Windows Mobile? The attachment was unnamed (part 1.2) so maybe it is sending the iCalendar file as a winmail.dat or something like that? I don't know...

We don't support the TNEF format. Please look into the LookOut Extension and let us know if this fixes the issue. Given this format is no longer used in newer Microsoft Products, I'm not reluctant to close this bug WONTFIX. What do you think?
Summary: Unable to accept invite accept from windows mobile → Support Microsoft TNEF format (Unable to accept invite accept from windows mobile)

As a measure to reduce the number of issues to a more manageable amount I am closing off this bug because it has been filed before 2010 and is still in the "unconfirmed" state and it has not recently been changed. If this is still an issue, please test with the latest version of Thunderbird and Lightning and comment on the bug, I am happy to reopen it. Thank you for your understanding!
