After I upgraded from 0.8 to 0.9RC1, the task view was different than before the upgrade. All tasks were shown, including completed tasks, and a subset of tasks that had previously been marked as completed (perhaps in 0.7?) were shown in red, without a line through them. Another set of tasks had the line through them.

I can't repeat the upgrade, I am just reporting this in case it is helpful.

Do you mean the 'Show Completed Tasks' feature that can be used to show/hide completed tasks doesn't work anymore? 

Or do you mean the task filters don't work correctly? 

0.9 ships with a lot of fixes, changes and new feature compared to 0.8 therefore in my opinion it's kind of expected to work different in some ways.

When I first viewed the task list after upgrading, I saw a different list of tasks than I had seen in 0.8 before upgrading. A number of old tasks (I hadn't seen them in months) reappeared. They were all colored red --- I think this means a missed alarm? It was disconcerting to see them, and my first thought was that my task list was corrupted. I then marked them completed and the task list has worked correctly since. 

I think this is an issue that, if it strikes anyone else, will only strike at the point of upgrading. I would rank this at most low priority, but it may startle some users so I wanted to report it. 

Off-topic, the improvements in 0.9 are obvious. Nice work.

I tried to reproduce but failed. At first I just imported a calendar with according tasks created with 0.8 and then I tested the upgrade scenario.
Robert, could it be that you just haven't noticed that the checkbox label above the treeview has changed its meaning from "Hide completed Tasks" to "Show completed Task"?
