User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1 Using Firefox I am unable to check out docs in my company's intranet Sharepoint. Well it says I check them out, but am unable to locate the checked-out doc. With IE, it puts the checked-out doc into a Sharepoint Drafts folder in My Documents until I am ready to check it back in. I love Firefox, and am not sure if this is a security issue or what. Hope this was descriptive enough, please email me at daniel.hill13@gmail.com with any clarifying questions! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to intranet sharepoint 2.Attempt to check out doc for editing Actual Results: Document is shown as checked out, but I am unable to find or edit the document. Expected Results: Doc should show up in my Sharepoint Drafts folder in My Documents(this is what IE does). Also, when clicking check out with IE, an option box comes up(option of "Read-Only" or "Check out and edit"
I'm unsure what do you mean with checkout. Firefox can download documents and they are stored either in a fixed location (based on the options) or it asks you where to save it. Instead of just saving you can select to open files with a "helper application". In that case the file is downloaded to the system temp directory and Firefox opens the Helper application with this file. After the helper application is closed firefox deletes this file in the temp directory.
