User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 Firefox/3.0.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008072820 Firefox/3.0.1
No problem until opening a third Firefox window. Upon attempting to do so, the third window will not only not open, but the entire 'firefox' process will completely stop responding.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a Firefox browser window, regardless of URL.
2. Open another Firefox window. (Not a tab, a window. =P)
3. Open ANOTHER Firefox window.
Actual Results:
Third Firefox window did not open; remaining two windows froze and stopped responding.
Expected Results:
Opened a third window?

Nope, I just opened up 10 windows as quick as I could and they all were fine. It's a problem with your configuration.
