Details
When searching for a particular string, if the next occurrence is outside the currently viewable area, firefox scrolls the page so that the occurrence appears on the last line. Instead, the page should scrolled further so that more context is visible after the occurrence. The extent of scrolling is debatable, but I suggest scrolling right to the top of the window until only a few lines are visible above the relevant line. The context after the occurrence is likely to be more useful than the context before it. Although this is not a severe bug, it is quite irritating in terms of user experience. It happens invariable on every instance when the user searches beyond the currently displayed context. A similar bug has also been filed for SeaMonkey, and its a very old bug that's still seeing activity: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171237
