When I click "get Mail" i get a error message saying the sending of my password did not go through. It will not store my password and takes about 4 or 5 tries of closing Thunderbird out and reopening it to get it to where I can get my messages.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.click get mail
2.close out error messages
3.click get mail

This does not sound like an issue with Thunderbird. You can visit http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/ for technical support. also, try in Safe Mode, and check your client and server are properly set up.

Which email provider ?
Did you get this always with this email provider or did it started some time later ?
This looks like the server is responding with a login error (username password worng).
Thunderbird clears the stored password in such a case.
Summary: WILL NOT TAKE MY PASSWORD,TAKES SEVERAL TRIES TO DOWNLOAD MY E-MAIL → Will not take my password, takes several tries to download my emails
