Upgrading from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2beta, the password manager didn't restore olf passwords. No password entered before is available, no new password saving is proposed when I fill forms with a PASSWORD field.

I use the french release and I suppose it's a directory problem, but can't verify it.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install 3.0.1 french release
2.add some passwords
3.upgrade to 3.0.2 beta
Actual Results:  
all password have been forgotten

I can confirm this bug: with french localized version of Firefox 3.0.2 ( Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; fr; rv:1.9.0.2) Gecko/2008091618 Firefox/3.0.2 ), passwords are not stored anymore, and old passwords are unavailable, even with a fresh profile.

Downgrading to previous version restores password manager, with previously saved passwords. It seems problems with 3.0.2 version are “just” an access issue.

I'm not seeing this myself, but that's at least two separate reports now. Firefox 3.0.2 did include fixes for bug 435531 and bug 451155 which were related to password manager, but shouldn't have caused this.

I confirm this too. On my French localized install of FF 3.0.2. I think I'll have to go back to 3.0.1., unfortunately.

its works for me with the en-US Version on XP after the Update from 3.0.1 -> 3.0.2

Arnaud, klint, Premartin: Do you use any Extension ? Do you have a Error Message in the Firefox Error Console (its under Tools -> Error Console).

I can also confirm this error, after upgrading from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2: No passwords can be loaded/saved, no passwords are displayed in the password manager. I use a master password, which is no longer being requested.

The error only occurs with my original profile, not a newly created one. Also, the error disappears when downgrading to 3.0.1 (i.e., the password manager displays my passwords again). I was able to reproduce the error even in safe mode, with no extensions enabled.
