Description

1. Point Firefox to addons.mozilla.org front page
2. Perform any search with the advanced options tab collapsed
3. On results page, click the "advanced" tab
4. Note that the min and max versions are now both set to "1.0"

The defaults for the advanced search before doing this normal search are detected version to "Any".

Confirming. Thanks for finding this!

Note that clicking on the search button again with the "advanced" tab closed will not negatively influence the results; however if you click search after step 3 (in comment 0) with an open advanced tab, you'll get a reduced result set due to the compatibility range problem.
This is fixed in AMO 5.0.6, check out https://preview.addons.mozilla.org .
