To start, I'm quite sure this bug hasn't been listed before, i've check a lot, but i haven't check everything. To try putting it terse and to the point. I could either be adding an add-on, or theme, or firefox can stop working by itself for no reason whatseover, or I can just be closing out of firefox 3, and then going back to try surfing the web again. For instance, I could be on firefox, exit out of it, do something, and if I come back to my PC and try re opening firefox, I will get a warning/error message, if you will. it says something like this. "Firefox is already running a process, To start a new Firefox session, please close the process and try reopening it".. That is nothing near what it says word for word, but that does sum it up..My point, why doesn't it end the process in task manager after I exit out of firefox, and the thing is, sometimes I can close out, and go back in later, and it doesn't give me that pop up box. But, my point is, i don't see why it doesnt close it out, why it only happens most of the time, but not exactly all the time, and why this has been a bug ive had since firefox 3's first beta. One other question I'd like to know is, How often does firefox 3 update the browsers to fix this bug?Does firefox 3 even have automatic updater that can update every bug it resolves at once, Or will i be stuck with it until the next big update for firefox 3 after they compile lots of resolved bugs. Also, Is this a bug, or is it something that is a problem with the untrustworty windows vista?
I'd appreciate getting this bug resolved so I can still trust the best browser made, and i can look forward to keep using this browser. Any reply would be appreciated.

Bugzilla is a technical bug database and not for enduser questions.
That means you can report a bug here  you must follow a few needed things.
The first thing is that you have to search for existing bug reports before you write a new one. If you write a new one then you have to include clear steps to reproduce the issue. You can not expect to get answers for questions or that you get help.

For your problem: 
I and many others can not reproduce your problem using Firefox3.01 on vista.
IF this should be resolved then this must be reproduced by a developer.
Do you get this in the Firefox safemode ?

I also have this same problem but i am running XP sp2. I would close firefox by pressing the x in the top right but it will not disappear in the task manager.  If i open FF again it shows multiple FF in the task manager even though i have only 1 opened. Also on occasions when i open FF the next time after closing it I would get no homepage and bookmarked tabs on the front and even when i type in the search and click on the webpage, the address will not show in the adress bar even though i have accessed it.
