Firefox is one of the slower programs. Is there a 64 bit issue? Windows Internet Explorer runs fast. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Just run it. 2. 3. Actual Results: Runs slow Expected Results: Run faster on a faster computer n/a
With "runs slow" you mean the website rendering takes quite long and so on? How about using the browser UI (opening menus, clicking on bookmarks, etc.), does that also behave slowly?
Hi Frank, it's slow to load the program, slow to run, slow to load pages - every aspect of it is slow. I have since discovered and downloaded 'minefield' - promoted as a 64 bit version of Fox, and it seems marginally better, but still way behind IE. On a 64 bit machine wired for speed I expected to be impressed but ... When I am in a hurry I am forced to use Internet Explorer because everything works at good speed. If no one else is having this problem, it's probably something about my installation. To date there is very little software loadd on it - haven;t had it long enough (give me time...), but I haven't read or heard of similar complaints.
