Details
The date formatting in the message reader needs tweaking, to be easier to parse. There's already code in toolkit IIRC to do "1 hour ago".

Davida, what were you thinking for this - displaying it as "x hours/days/months ago"? I'm sure some people would like it. FWIW, I intensely (mostly) dislike it in getsatisfaction. Also, without adding other functionality, it makes copying message date and time more complicated - something which is seen posts on getsatisfaction and in bugs.

The message reader is being largely rebuilt for version 115. So this issue is will not be fixed for the current version 102.
If the problem exists in version 115 when it becomes available in July please file a new bug. You can also evalute the rebuilt reader in 3-4 weeks by trying a beta build.
