This is to add on to a previously reported bug, where Norton's Identity safe fill in's do not work. Am experiencing that also, but in addition, previous to this the Norton toolbar, was an option under view toolbars. With the new edition of Mozilla, it is no longer included in the list.

Thanks, Debbie

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Install Norton Internet. Turn on Identity Safe option. Get into Mozilla.

Expected Results:
Nothing.

Shown Norton under the view toolbars option, and filled in forms on pages.
Please report problems with non-Mozilla add-ons to their developers. (i.e. Norton)

Hi Dave,

This is not resolved. Sorry, if I was unclear, but this used to work. It stopped working when I switched to version 3. And it is not just that you cannot access the toolbar anymore, the function(as a previously reported bug describes) no longer works with version 3.

Thanks,
Debbie

Hello Debbie

The Norton Toolbar is an addon for Firefox.
It's expected that addons are breaking between a major upgrade as for example Firefox2 and Firefox3 but it can also happen with a minor upgrade such as Firefox3.0.1 and Firefox 3.0.2

We don't accept bugs reports about addons here in such a case.
The addon author itself can write a bug report here if something inside Firefox doesn't work anymore that should be working but in 95% of all cases this is a bug in the addon itself.
In your case you must ask the Norton about your problem with the toolbar.
Note: This is a technical bug database for the Firefox developers. If you have additional questions use http://support.mozilla.com

Simply put, Norton made an add-on for Firefox and there's nothing Mozilla could even attempt to do to fix any issues with Norton's add-on. If an add-on doesn't support a particular version of a browser, or otherwise has problems, it's up to the add-on developers to deal with it. Mozilla has no control over Norton software, whatsoever.
