Currently you can only change the display settings for all accounts.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Switch the display settings using 'view - message body as'
Actual Results:
Change of display preferences changes it for all accounts.

Expected Results:
Allow to change the display preferences on a per account base.

Thunderbird allows you to set how the message body of a mail should be seen via the 'View - Message Body As - ' options. However, it would be nice if it would allow you to set this option per account.

I have set up multiple accounts and with most of them I am happy with HTML emails and even expect certain emails to be in HTML format. I have one account though which I use for mailing lists, bug reports and other chat and for that I prefer plain text mails. I can already control the type of message I sent out, but each time I want to view email from that account I need to manually switch to the Plain Text view option since I cannot control the way other people send emails to the mailing lists and quite often it gets messed up when mixing Plain Text and HTML emails.

I have been browsing to the list of other feature requests but none of the Plain Text related bugs seem to talk about this in specific. I apologize if I created a duplicate of a bug I missed.
This feature would be most appreciated. I want my RSS account to be HTML, and everything else Text Only.

As it stands, turning of HTML breaks my RSS account to the extent I can't read anything in my mail client. That was the whole point of me adding an RSS account.
This feature would also be very much appreciated in the mail agent part of Seamonkey, Thunderbird's cousin.

It would be somewhat better if it could be changed by correspondant or folder.
Severity: normal → S3
