User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; te; rv:1.9.0.2) Gecko/2008091620 Firefox/3.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; te; rv:1.9.0.2) Gecko/2008091620 Firefox/3.0.2

I have installed the Telugu version of the Mozilla 3.0.2.
After installation, the title bar shows the title only partially correct.
There are some characters like square boxes at the end of each tile.Sometimes the
title fully is like this.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open firefox release notes http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.0.2/releasenotes/ or http://te.www.mozilla.com/te/firefox/3.0.2/whatsnew/#feature-learn or open any other URL
2.Check the title bar.
3.
Actual Results:
It contains the unreadable characters at the end of the title

Expected Results:
THe title bar should should the title correctly without these strange characters.

The image containing the tile with the bug

The attachment contains the image which shows the bug in the title bar containing strange characters.

another example

This is not limited to the Telugu build and has been around long enough that I imagine this is a dupe of another bug but I don't know which. In the mean time, here is another example of the problem with Japanese characters - they render fine in the tab's title bar but not in the window's title bar.

Can confirm with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3 for Cyrillic websites. Instead of boxes, it shows question marks.

Occurring with Firefox 3 (using 3.0.10) on XP Home, Dell Inspiron 6000.

Title bar becomes series of unreadable boxes or wrong characters
(some x's, some '>'s, etc.).

Opening a new browser while current browser is open:
-- new browser is okay.

Appears that once the title bar is scrambled, it continues
(for all tabs in that browser) until the browser
is closed.

Changing screen quality (32 ->16 bit) has no effect.
Changing screen resolution has no effect.

Minimizing, resizing window has no effect.

Title bars in other programs open are okay.

Happens randomly, have not been able to figure out
what was 'just done' that triggered it.

Confirm with Firefox 3.0, but this has been true for several releases (not sure if these are all 3.0 releases, or if it went back further). I use Firefox in English. With me, all title bars in Firefox always consist of little boxes. Title bars are fine in IE and all other programs. Problem is exclusive to Firefox.

Fixed in 3.5. I hadn't realized I didn't have latest version because Firefox has stopped its former practice of automatically notifying users of updates.

The problem still occurs in the nightlies (and on 3.5). Additionally, Firefox certainly still notifies users of updates. You might want to look at your update settings in preferences -> advanced -> update.
