User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.2) Gecko/2008091620 Firefox/3.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.2) Gecko/2008091620 Firefox/3.0.2 I was hoping that the next rev would take care of the MAJOR problems with the awesome bar, but it didn't. The fundamental problem is that, in the best Microsoft tradition, it imposes what other people want on user. Specifically, if one is sufficiently evolved to recognize an icon and deletes the name, the aweful, er, awesome bar inserts the URL. Worse yet, rather than the user prefernce, the damned thing display whatever the company whose URL is is decides to throw at you. Can we agree that there's more than a little redundancy in the address bar at, e.g: the BofA login page (logo, name, and url) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I'm closing this since it is an unhelpful bug report. Discussions should really go to the newsgroups. If you have specific ideas of ways to improve things then please file specific bugs with well explained single ideas.
