If you attempt to view an IMAP folder hierarchy that looks like the following: Folder/ SubFolder/ SubSubFolder/ [messages] The folder hierarchy will be displayed looking like the following: v Folder SubFolder Since the triangle thingy is not displayed, the SubFolder cannot be expanded to display the sub-folders within "SubFolder". This is only a problem where the hierarchy already exists. If you create the nested hierarchy, the folders will display properly until you close Mozilla and restart. (When in this situation, hitting "delete" while selecting the folders in this hierarchy will cause Netscape to crash). I've tried this on two different IMAP mail servers: Communigate Pro for NT from Stalker Software, and I believe Washington University's IMAP server on Linux. Don't have CMU's cyrus or anything from netscape to try those... If need be, I can get exact version numbers. The problem exists the same with both. I also tried a couple of different mail clients. I couldn't try Outlook, but was able to view the proper hierarchy with Pine, Mulberry, and Netscape 4.73. This was a problem occasionally with Netscape 4.x as well, but I've always been able to work around it by unexpanding "Folder" then re-expanding it. This appeared to have queried the IMAP server and retrieved subfolders for SubFolder which it did not do when Netscape first opened. This workaround does not work with this version of Mozilla.

Karen - can you reproduce this?

I am not able to reproduce this problem on yesterday's morning build, I will try on today's build again.
The bug submission form seemed to imply it was going to include the build number I saw this in, which is why I didn't include it in my initial description. In any case, I saw this with M16. I just downloaded the latest nightly build, and things appeared to be working, so this problem now appears to be fixed in the mozilla tree.
