I have started firefox in safemode with all add ons-ex. disabled and it still does it. Its also not the page itself but the application. When I pull the system memory application it shows my cpu and memory are being used alot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.just open browser 2. 3. Actual Results: system displays an activity symbol Expected Results: The application should have loaded up and stop maintaining a process on my computer.

Could be caused by history or live bookmarks loading. Or add-ons. Or all three. You can try out by starting Firefox in safe-mode: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox) If it still happens you could delete your livemarks or export your bookmarks as html and copy them to a new profile to test if they are the cause. No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
