User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3 After upgrading to FF 3.0.3-de I can not access my stored password in password manager or use them on a website. I had secured the password manager wit a master password. When entering a site I had stored a password for, i get asked for my master password but after that the login form is not automatically filled. The password manager is completely empty, no stored sites or passwords (see given URL) I am not sure if I upgraded from FF 3.0.1-de to FF 3.0.3-de or from FF 3.0.2-de to FF 3.0.3-de Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enter a master password in FF 3.0.1-de 2. Store passwords in FF 3.0.1-de for www.example.org 3. Upgrade to FF 3.0.3-de 4. goto www.example.org and you are not able to use the stored password 5. goto password manager an you can not access stored passwords Actual Results: can not access old stored passwords (is the data lost?) Expected Results: can access old stored passwords I am not sure if I upgraded from FF 3.0.1 to FF 3.0.3 or from FF 3.0.2 to FF 3.0.3 I have password or usernames with german "special" symbols in it like ü ä ö ß and so on
Likely a duplicate of bug 457358. Can you try saving a new password (doesn't matter for which site) and then restarting Firefox to see if that fixes it?
Yes, that fixed the problem. Thx a lot and sorry for the duplicate bug entry.
