Note, I was told by #build that the mozilla-central revision I picked from the last nightlies is right in the middle of bug 457607, so it's definitely not a good revision to be based on. When it's time to spin the final Beta 1, we really need to carefully pick a mozilla-central revision...

We should probably rename these files similar to what Firefox did under these directories here: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/shiretoko/alpha2/

and here: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/3.0b5/

I'm guessing the release bouncer (i.e. mapping links to downloads) can probably cope with anything, but I think we should at least have shredder in the names of those files, and maybe make them look a bit prettier.

All l10n repacks for all shipped-locales have been published to staging, with the exception of the 'ca' locale on win32, it's failing with a strange error (I'll be filing a separate bug on this one), and philor found/suggested a simple patch that fixes the breakage, but somebody that speaks/reads Catalan would certainly need to review the change.

Regarding comment #21, you are probably right. I simply copied the layout for 3.0a2. Moving the files around is easy, but since folks are currently looking at the files in the current layout, I'd wait for the time to _actually_ release the files (post QA) to rejig the way they are layed out on disk.

But 20079:d2706c1a97ef has been tagged as THUNDERBIRD_3_0a3_RELEASE and THUNDERBIRD_3_0a3_BUILD2, instead of 20078:12cdb70e5edc.

Because 20079:d2706c1a97ef was merged with 20077:a215cd4224cf "Backed out changeset 3847957242ad", it does not includes the fix for Bug 457886.
Could you re-apply the fix and respin?

I can confirm this. I expect we will respin, but this is the weekend so we won't be starting today.

I'll need to re-apply that fix, re-tag, then re-spin.

I've confirmed the jp change is now included.

I have been asked whether we can also include https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=341893&action=edit into the new build as well. This makes search integration work on Vista 64 bit. I think if David (Bienvenu) is happy with it, then it should be low risk enough to take it in the respin. As it is one of the highlighted new features of this release, I think it would be good if it worked on 64 bit Vista as well as 32 bit.
