Printing a page from Firefox 3 results in inconsistent font spacing.  The 'i' and 'l' characters are the most noticeable.  The text renders properly on screen, but the printed output (to PDF or a real printer) is bad.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Browse to http://fedoraproject.org
2. Print the page (to PDF or a physical printer)

Actual Results:  
Text spacing is inconsistent making the page difficult to read.


Expected Results:  
Text spacing is consistent with rendered page on screen.

I installed Firefox 2 from Fedora 8, and it prints out correctly.  I also tested the FF3 build from mozilla.org and it has the same bug as Fedora's build.

No. It looks like bug 403513 and bug 454802.

Setting hinting to none did fix the printout text spacing problem, but caused the fonts on screen to become blurry.

This is a mass search for bugs which are in the Firefox General component, are
UNCO, have not been changed for 500 days and have an unspecified version. 

Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10 or later, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the issue, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the status to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.

No reply from reporter, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
